This working beef farm in St Ives, Cornwall is in an area of outstanding natural beauty and boasts its very own stretch of the Cornish coastline! Sympathetically converted from former farm buildings our holiday cottages provide attractive and cosy accommodation set against a stunning backdrop of rolling fields, rugged cliffs and the majestic Atlantic Ocean.

Perfect for either families or couples Trevalgan offers you a chance to get away from it all and unwind.

As a family run business your holiday is important to us so you are assured a warm welcome, attention to detail and a home from home environment. That's why so many of our customers come back year after year...

Our Cottages

Holidays are important whatever your reason for wanting to get away. We care about what we’re doing and it shows.

We’ve learned through our own experiences elsewhere how disappointing lacklustre accommodation can be so you will find ours is modern, attractive, comfortable, clean and well equipped.

The cottages were converted from the original granite farm buildings in the 1970s. As a family run business the success of your holiday is vital to our success so we’re committed to continually reinvesting in the cottages modernising and updating them to make them a real home from home. Our four star grading and the number of people who come back again and again suggest customers think Trevalgan is somewhere special to stay.

The fully fitted kitchens are thoughtfully equipped with everything you need to make anything from beans on toast to a Sunday roast (although our information folders also include menus from the local takeaways!).

Bedding, bed linen, electricity and heating are all included in the price. Travel cots and highchairs are available at no extra cost and towels can be provided for a nominal charge. There are extensive information folders in every cottage. These include most of the information you’re likely to need - from where the local supermarkets are, to bus timetables to dog friendly beaches to recommended restaurants to good days out and more besides.

Guests have use of a launderette and children’s play area from May – September as well as their own games room. We welcome one well behaved dog in some of the cottages. We do, however, insist they are not left in the cottages on their own and they are not allowed on any of the furniture. All our cottages are non smoking.

The Hayloft

Sleeps 4

As the name suggests, this holiday cottage was originally used to store corn, hay and straw for the cattle. It is entered via a slope on the outside of the building which was used to wheel sacks of corn and bales of hay into the loft.

Large windows in the lounge give superb views over the fields to the sea.

Location

There’s no denying the fact that it’s our location that really makes us stand out from our competitors, not everyone can boast their very own stretch of the Cornish Coastline. Trevalgan is set in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty on West Cornwall’s rugged and dramatically beautiful north coast.

Visitors can feel as if they truly have “got away from it all” but a short drive takes you to picturesque St. Ives with its world class beaches, quality surfing, the Tate Gallery plus a multitude of shops, galleries, bars and restaurants. The A30 (Cornwall’s main trunk road) is only ten minutes away so everything Cornwall has to offer is easily accessible.

Short Breaks

Imagine a walk across a deserted beach on a sunny winter’s day followed by a mug of steaming hot chocolate in one of the cafés overlooking St Ives Bay and then a quiet night in with a good bottle of wine in one of our cosy cottages.

West Cornwall’s mild micro-climate means not only does it not get as cold here as elsewhere in the country but spring comes early. Even if it does get chilly our cottages have plenty of heating to keep you warm.

St Ives truly is a year round destination. Whilst the streets and beaches are undeniably quieter during the winter months there is still plenty going on and the majority of Cornwall’s attractions now remain open.

We offer short breaks from October through to the start of the Easter holidays (excluding school holidays). We try to be as flexible as possible so you can arrive and depart when it suits you and our prices are hard to beat
