Explore a Corner of Lancashire with the Pendle Walking Festival

Pendle prides itself in hosting the UK's largest FREE walking festival and this year it takes place from Saturday 15th to Sunday 23rd August. Choose from 68 guided walks across the course of the 9 days and slot in an iFootpath walk while you're there.

The award-winning event hosts free guided walks every day to suit walkers of all abilities, ranging from easy walks of a couple of miles to fantastic challenge walks like the country's newest long distance route – The Lancashire Witches Way – which takes you from Pendle to Lancaster in four stages, or the 23 mile Pendle Marathon which is a one day challenge walk...There are family friendly walks, miles without stiles, several waterfall walks and walks inspired by famous local residents including the founder of the Quaker Movement and the founder of Greenwich Meantime.

While you’re there, why not slot in an iFootpath walk, the Wycoller Panopticon Trail, which takes in a spectacular piece of modern sculpture.
