We’re thrilled to have another national newspaper giving iFootpath a recommendation. This time it is from The Guardian and is for our freshly released Android App, which provides access to all our walking guides from thousands of Android devices.
Stuart Dredge, the Guardian journalist, will be publishing monthly recommendations for ‘the most useful, innovative and/or fun apps released for Android smartphones and tablets’ throughout 2014.
The January 2014 article has just been published and the iFootpath App is one of 40 recommendations from Stuart. The list is wide ranging with 15 games accompanied by 25 Apps covering topics as diverse as music streaming, spelling, pregnancy, gardening and 3D printing. There really is an App out there for everyone.
Stuart explains why iFootpath made the list, ‘Based on an existing website, this collects together more than 400 walking guides across the UK, showing you where to go, what you’ll see along the way, and how to stay on track as you walk with its live map. Importantly, the guides are stored on your Android smartphone, so a reliable connection isn’t required.’

Our thanks to Stuart for the recommendation, our thanks to Darryl for letting us know about it (these things are so easy to miss in the press!) and welcome to all our new customers. We’re thrilled to have you on board and looking forward to some spring weather soon that will be more conducive to walking than these winter storms.
