Celebrate Nature…June is Great Outdoors Month

If you love getting out and about and enjoying yourself, Great Outdoors Month is the perfect month for you! It’s an ideal opportunity to teach children about the joy of playing outside and how getting out and about can be part of a healthy lifestyle. Getting out and about is often a free or cheap day out for families, and can be a lot of fun. It’s a great way to learn about nature and the environment, to de-stress and to improve your mental and physical well-being.

Why not plan an iFootpath walk once per week for the whole month to get you underway? With all the walk planning and map reading already done for you, you will have plenty of time to really absorb all that the outdoors has to offer. June is a lovely time to explore the UK’s countryside with young animals everywhere you look, from lambs and piglets to ducklings and goslings. Why not immerse yourself in the nature around you with some bird spotting or tree-hugging, or perhaps tap into your creative side by writing some poetry or creating a piece of artwork inspired by your walk? You might just surprise yourself and come up with a masterpiece…
