The Beach Annexe is a quiet, detached family living space with direct access to Pagham beach. Ideal for families (2 adults/2 kids) wanting a beach holiday or keen birdwatchers/ramblers with Pagham Harbour RSPB nature reserve only a short walk away. Also perfect for couples attending Glorious Goodwood or theatre goers with Chichester Festival theatre just a 20 minute drive away. Whilst there are no cooking facilities there are many local pubs, cafes and shops within easy walking distance.
The Beach Annexe comprises 2 spacious rooms. The Master bedroom has a 5ft kingsize bed and a fitted wardrobe. The second bedroom has a 2 seater sofa bed that can be set up as a double bed upon request. There is also a single foldaway bed which could be used for a toddler again on request. There is a mini fridge with a small ice compartment. Two freezer blocks are included to be used with a cooler box (stored in the wardrobe) handy for picnicking on the beach. There is a kettle for making yourself a cup of tea or coffee. The room also offers a 24" flat screen TV/DVD, an iPhone/radio alarm docking station. The spacious wet room has a raindrop head power shower and makes it easy to dive in straight from the beach.
The Beach Annexe is detached from our main bungalow residence. Our bungalow is situated directly on Pagham beach. The annexe is situated north of the bungalow next to a quiet private road. The private road is an unmade gravel/shingle road and there are many potholes so you need to drive slowly and carefully along East Front Road. The annexe looks onto a private hard standing concrete driveway which is gated providing secure off-road parking for your car. There is easy access to the beach via the short pathway alongside the main bungalow. It is possible to carry your own kayak/kiteboard/windsurfer etc round to use on the beach (at your own risk). Pagham beach is well renowned as an excellent windsurfing/kiteboarding venue. There is use of the owners private and secluded patio on the north side of the bungalow which gives glorious afternoon/evening sunshine - ideal for a quiet sundowner. Also, 2 picnic tables are available to use.
Interaction with guests
Most of the time, someone will be available to help you throughout your stay. If on a rare occasion I am not available to check you in a door key will be left in a secure key box. I will message you when you are on your way with the combination and location inside the gated property. The electric gate fob will be on the window sill inside the annexe.
Other things to note
Whilst I would prefer to have 2 days notice if the sun is out and you fancy a spontaneous trip to the seaside, please message me and if the annexe is available I would be happy to accommodate you at short notice.
Local restaurants tend to get booked up quickly, especially at weekends, so I would strongly advise you make reservations before your arrival to avoid disappointment.
We have 2 friendly cats, Jessie (black) & Lucy (tortoiseshell) who live with us in the bungalow. You may come across them outside the property or even on the beach! but we don't let them go into The Beach Annexe as we know that not everyone likes cats. Please let us know if you have any allergies to cats and we will make sure they are kept inside the bungalow during your stay.
