This former Victorian hotel is one of the southernmost buildings in England. Our 4-star hostel boasts beautiful grounds, homely social areas and a warm welcome for the muddiest of walkers!
Its special peninsula location means there are fabulous panoramic sea views, beachcombing, walking and unique wildflowers so it’s a popular location - perfect for an activity break in Cornwall or seaside holiday. Kynance Cove is within easy walking distance and the hostel is a good base for walking and birdwatching holidays.
This 28 bed hostel has small rooms and en-suites available. The hostel features a well-tended garden with stunning views, a bright and airy lounge, and a good-sized dining room for guests.
We do not offer camping at YHA Lizard Point. If you are looking for somewhere to camp, please try the nearby YHA Coverack.
Hire the whole place
This hostel is occasionally made available for hire on an exclusive basis. This means that you can have the place to yourself and choose how many of your friends, family, club mates, etc., join you. We allocate availability for exclusive use in blocks, typically up to 90 days in the future. If you are looking for space to stay with us on a normal shared basis, and can’t see any availability three months or more into the future, then this hostel may be being held for Exclusive Hire. You can check availability for Exclusive Hire on our dedicated website, or use our live chat service for more information.
The hostel is self catering only, but there's a pub and restaurant in the village, half a mile away.
Our self-catering kitchen has crockery, cutlery and pots and pans and all the utensils you need to cook a delicious meal for your family, group or just yourself. There is a large six burner range style oven and a few inset hobs plus two microwaves, three toasters, three kettles, three fridges and a freezer.
Ready meals and basic items are available to buy in the shop.
YHA Lizard offers beautiful sea views from our sunny dining room and there is plenty of food available locally. There is a small supermarket, deli, butchers, farm shop, two pubs, a fish and chip shop and a restaurant in the village. There is also a cafe at Lizard Point with sea views which serves great food. Lizard village is also home to Cornwall's renowned Anne's Pasties.
