The Youth Hostel has 70 beds so is ideal for groups, with freshly cooked meals and friendly staff to look after you on your stay. The hostel is set in private wooded grounds with walking access to Millersdale and the Monsal Trail, making it a brilliant base for families and backpackers to explore the stunning Derbyshire Dales.

YHA Ravenstor has 70 beds with both dorm beds and private rooms available. Our lounge has a feature fireplace which is great for cosying up next to in the winter months, following a day of outdoor adventuring in the Peak District - you can also hang up your wet clothes and muddy boots in our drying room.
Please note that the hostel is only open to families and individuals at weekends and during school holidays.
Hire the whole place
This hostel is occasionally made available for hire on an exclusive basis. This means that you can have the place to yourself and choose how many of your friends, family, club mates, etc., join you. We allocate availability for exclusive use in blocks, typically up to 90 days in the future. If you are looking for space to stay with us on a normal shared basis, and can’t see any availability three months or more into the future, then this hostel may be being held for Exclusive Hire. YHA Ravenstor offers a hot and cold buffet breakfast to start off your day in the peaks. We've got all your Full English faves and cereal options too - cold food is served from 7:30am until 9am, with our hot options firing up from about 8am. Breakfast is now available at 10% off - ONLY WHEN PRE-BOOKED (in-hostel price: £5.25). Simply add it to your basket at check out to save!
We can provide a packed lunch including a freshly prepared sandwich, a delicious cake, cereal bar, a bottle of mineral water, a packet of crisps and a piece of fresh fruit. Eat in the hostel or take your packed lunch with you to enjoy during your day of exploring.
After your busy day, warm up with a delicious home cooked meal in our licensed restaurant. We serve the Rural Menu from 6pm until 8:30pm, and non-residents can join us for dinner too - our dining room has some lovely views over the valley!
Kids Eat Free
One free children's meal is available per adult main meal from the main menu when purchased at the same time. This offer is not available on breakfast.
We order in beer from Winkle Brewery and there are three local ales to choose from, along with standard drinks to enjoy. Why not savour a jug of Pimms with ice and look out over our amazing grounds?
If you want to create a feast for yourself or your family, we've got lots of equipment to use. Prepare and cook up a storm with 12 hob rings, two ovens, a grill, a microwave, kettles and toasters, and a fridge. There's lots of pots, pans and cutlery to use too. There is seating where you can enjoy your meal and, in keeping with our green ethos, a recycling system.
