A 1.2km (0.8 mile) circular walk around Jenny’s Wood near Boston in Lincolnshire. There is plenty of variety in terms of wildlife which can be seen on this walk; with plentiful opportunities to sit on the benches.

This walk follows permissive paths around woodland owned by Boston Woods Trust. The walk is generally flat. It follows surfaced (either concrete or tarmac) paths throughout. There are no gates, stiles or livestock on route, although there is the opportunity to show off your skills on some outdoor training apparatus. Dogs are welcome but please keep them under close control and clean up any dog mess. Allow 1 hour to complete this walk.

The car park used for this walk is off Five House Lane, in Wyberton, Boston. Post code for the car park is PE21 7JA. To get from the car park to the start of the walk, cross Five House Lane and turn left. You will start the walk by turning right into the woods, where there is a sign.

The compacted path will be as a junction on your left. (Taking this path will shorten the walk). Continue on the path you are on, to walk around the wood and the lake; keeping the wood on your left. Again, there are a number of benches, information boards and fitness trail equipment on the trail. Along this section, there are a number of memorial stones on your left.

You will reach the compacted ‘short-cut’ path re-joining the main path that you are on. There are a number of benches, information boards and fitness trail equipment on the section. In addition, there is The Hornbeam Compass, which will be on your left, and a community orchard on your right. At the junction, take the right-hand path to complete your walk.
