This is a 4 mile circular walk from the centre of Scarborough in North Yorkshire. It leads you through Ramshill and on to the Esplanade, dropping down to the South Bay and then along the sea front and the harbour, before ascending to the castle and then walking through the town centre back to the start. The walk is fairly easy, following surfaced paths and pavements for the whole length, with a short section on the beach. There are no stiles or other obstacles, but you will need to negotiate some steps, including a steep flight of steps up to the castle. Allow 2 hours.

The walk begins and ends at Scarborough Railway Station, making it ideal for arriving by public transport. If you are coming by car, there are a number of pay and display car parks close to the station. The station is easily reached by Park and Ride buses and local buses as well as the Coastliner service from Leeds via York. The post code for the rail station is YO11 1TN.
