This is a 5 mile circular walk from the centre of Scarborough in North Yorkshire. The route follows the Cinder Track north for approximately 2 miles, before turning east and dropping down to the North Bay, then turning south along the Promenade into Prince Albert Drive. From here you climb the cliff path, taking in the full panoramic view of the North Bay, and finally continue to visit Peasholm Park with its boating lake and willow pattern gardens, before returning to the start. There are no stiles on route, but you will need to negotiate a flight of steps and several road crossings. Allow 2.5 hours.

The walk begins and ends at Scarborough rail station, making it ideal for arriving by public transport. If you are coming by car, there are a number of pay and display car parks close to the station. The station is easily reached by Park and Ride buses and local buses as well as the Coastliner service from Leeds via York. The post code for the rail station is YO11 1TN.
